Thai Smile Radio broadcasts every Thursday night from 10:00pm to 11:00pm on Radio 2000FM 98.5MHz. Thai Smile participated in FM 98.5 in September 1992 with Chris Panasbodi as the program coordinator and it was broadcasted for the first time on the 24th November, 1992. Thai Smile Radio plays popular Thai music as well as valued classics of all time.

Thai Smile Radio is the first radio program administered wholly by Thai people as a non-profit organisation. Its purpose is to inform the local Thai community about the cultural events, update news and gossip in order to bring the Sydney-Thai community together. In the beginning, the program was funded by the annual fundraising activities. From 1992 to 1996, four fundraising events were organised with the support from the government, various associations, shops and other private entities.

In 1996, 98.5FM closed down and subsequently resumed its operation in 1998. Thai Smile Radio was invited to rejoin the station. In mid 1999, original funds were exhausted and debts began accumulating. Rak Thai artist group led by Khun Chalark Phopak and the new management team have taken over and ran the program since then with the support from the Royal Thai Consulate, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thai Airways International, Ajarn Lin, Dr. Supawadee Hengpoontana, Spring Duty Free, Detour Holiday and Kent Institute.

The Thai Smile Radio broadcasting team are DJ Tum Sunyar Fa-Uthai and DJ J Rewadee Sirisatien who brings to listeners music for all ages bringing the Thai Community closer together. They both have a strong involvement at many Thai events during previous years and continue to bring the warmth and friendly voice to the local community.

Thai Smile Radio is a property of Thai people. Apart from being an information centre, it is an index to measure love, unity and sympathy of the Thai people. We would also like to thank you all in supporting and maintaining Thai Smile Radio in our Thai community.

Thai Smile Radio Broadcasting Team
	DJ Tum Sunyar Fa-Uthai DJ Tum was born in Thailand who was in a singing group that travelled all over Thailand. He performed at various events for over twenty years making his own albums and created a large fan base. He sang classical Thai music and Luk Toong style music for most of his life until he came to Australia and have been staying here for about five or six years. Ever since he has been working at Thai Smile Radio contributing in nearly all events organised by the Thai community.
	DJ J Rewadee Sirisatien DJ J Australian-born Thai female whom since 8 years old contributed in the Thai community at many events for Thai dancing, MC and various activities throughout the years. She studies a Bachelor Degree in Psychology as well as managing small businesses, one which includes working with the Thai Smile Radio team.
