Darpan Hindi Radio Group is a Hindi Language Broadcasting Group of Multi-Cultural Community Radio Association Ltd (MCRA). The program is run and managed by the financial members of the Darpan Hindi Radio Broadcasting Group. All members work on a voluntary basis without receiving any financial benefit. Any funds raised through sponsorship from business entrepreneurs are used to improve the quality and effectiveness of broadcast and for charity purposes such as helping poor and needy children.

The main aims and objectives of Darpan Hindi Radio Program are
  • Promote learning and use of Hindi.
  • Promote Indian Culture & Arts.
  • Counter the biased reporting about India by the Western media
  • Keep the community Informed via news, current affairs, talk back and interviews.
  • Provide healthy entertainment.
  • Help recognise the talented members of the community especially the younger generation.
  • Help raise funds for needy people.
  • Any surplus money left in the group's Bank Account may be donated for charity.
The Hindi Broadcast Team
Raj Batra is a computer professional and is associated with Darpan Hindi Radio since mid 1990s. He has worked in Middle East and has also tried entrepreneurship in Australia. He is a born artist with ambition to be another Amitabh Bachchan. He has been a great anchor of the programs produced on Darpan. Currently he is Secretary and Web Master of Darpan Hindi Radio Website www.darpanradio.org.au
Rajesh Pandey (Kanpur Waley) is a Tax Accountant with NSW Government. He is associated with Darpan since 2001. You must have heard his jokes not only on the radio but also in many other functions in Sydney.
Rachna Pandey is a High school teacher in Sydney. She is a very big influence in the life of her husband Rajesh Pandey. She has helped Rajesh in producing some excellent programs. Both Rajesh and Rachna have been associated with Darpan since 2001.
Richa Srivastava has done masters in chemistry works in a scientific analytical laboratory in Sydney. She has learned classical music from "Prayag Sangeet Samiti" Allahabad, India and has been light Indian music singer associated with Gorakhpur and Bhopal Radio Stations since 1981, also with Bhopal Doordarshan in 1995. She is also an enthusiastic teacher of Indian music and dance. She has been associated with Darpan Radio broadcasting since 2006.
Sunil Srivastava has done B. Tech. in electrical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and working with RTA in Traffic Systems. He has been associated with Darpan Radio broadcasting since 2006.
Dr Shailaja Chaturvedi is a practicing professional Psychiatrist in Sydney. She has written many articles and poems in Hindi in many publications. You may have seen her in many Indian functions as a compeer or as a very active participant. Recently, her love of Hindi has attracted her to Darpan Hindi Radio.
Ashima Kumar is a science graduate and a postgraduate in English literature. She has worked in many areas since coming to Australia in 1993. She has been contributing to Darpan Hindi Radio since 2000.
Dr Pradeep Kumar is associated with Darpan Hindi Radio since mid 1990s. He has produced some very good programs over the years. He is a chemical engineer from Roorkee University with long experience in Drinking Water Supply and Treatment in country NSW. Currently he is treasurer of Darpan.
Gargi Sharma is ex Pricipal of a Lucknow Girls School. She is a very keen writer and has a very enthusiastic personality. She has worked for Lucknow Radio too. She provides grace to the programs with Sanjiv Sharma and Raj Batra. She is associated with Darpan since 2001.
Sanjiv Sharma is a software professional. He used to drive his mum Gargiji to the studios. Slowly he picked up and now he is one of the best newsreader and interviewer with Darpan.
