Radio 98.5 FM is a community radio program broadcast in AKAN aimed at
informing the Ghanaian community with local and national news, cultural
events, community announcements, music request, Talk back on specific
community issues helping to bring the Sydney-Ghanaian community together.

Ghana in brief:
Ghana was until its independence on the 6th of March 1957 called the
Gold Coast. Before independence the country was a British Colony.
Ghana was the first Black African country south of the Sahara to achieve
independence.
Ghana is located on the west coast of Africa. It is about 750km west
of the equator on the gulf of Guinea.
It lies between latitudes 4-11.5degree North and longitudes 3.11degree
west and 1.11degree East.
The Greenwich meridian runs through Tema, one of the main habour cities
of the country.
The current population is estimated at 21.4 million. The official language
is English.
